The Fan

The lively Fan District, often simply called The Fan, is centered on the Virginia Commonwealth University campus and surrounding area. The area is dotted with grand Queen Anne-style homes and Tudor Revival mansions, including the Branch Museum of Architecture and Design, which offers tours. The area is home to many restaurants and nightlife alongside bars with live music.
 

Museum District

Also known as Upper Fan, is home to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, along with the Virginia Museum of History and Culture. Brick row homes and detached townhouses in hues of spearmint, navy, and yellow line the streets, as well as brick and old-growth trees and bold street murals adding further color. 
 

Carytown

Nestled in the heart of Richmond, Carytown is a unique shopping, dining, and entertainment district. With a focus on small, locally-owned businesses, Carytown is home to the historic Byrd Theater as well as several unique dining and boutique shopping destinations. Adjacent to the Museum District and Byrd Park, Carytown is a necessary stop for a day well spent in the city.
